Tips for Parents: Getting Ready for Gym Class at Taiga
Welcome to Taiga Gymnastics!
To make each class fun, safe, and smooth for your child, here are some helpful tips for parents when coming to the gym:
Before Class
Hair: Please tie long hair back. Pack an extra hair tie and a brush in the bag. Coaches are happy to help if needed.
Clothing: Wear gymnastics-friendly clothes—flexible, breathable, and comfortable. No jeans or stiff fabrics.
Water: Bring a water bottle. Kids will be active and need to stay hydrated.
Snacks: No food is allowed in the gym. Children coming directly from school may bring a small snack to eat before class.
At the Gym
Arrival: Try to arrive a few minutes early so kids can use the restroom and get ready.
Barefoot: Gymnastics is practiced barefoot for safety. Remember to wash little feet in the evenings.
Jewelry & Accessories: Remove large jewelry. Small accessories like hair clips should be secure.
Behavior: Encourage your child to listen to the coach, participate actively, and have fun!
After Class
Celebrate the effort! Every class is about smiles, learning, and trying new skills.
Ask your child about their favorite part of class or new moves they learned.
Following these simple steps helps children have a safe, positive, and joyful experience at Taiga Gymnastics.
