Preschool Gymnastics (Ages 3–5)
Our Preschool Gymnastics classes help young children build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement through play. Every class is designed around age-appropriate activities that develop fundamental movement skills, including running, jumping, balancing, climbing, rolling, body control, flexibility, and coordination.
Children learn basic gymnastics skills such as forward rolls, safe landings, balance, and simple acrobatic movements in a fun, encouraging, and child-centered environment. Our curriculum follows Nordic early childhood physical education principles, focusing on quality movement, physical literacy, and joyful participation rather than early specialization.
These classes provide an excellent foundation for all sports while helping children develop strength, body awareness, confidence, and social skills.
Available programs:
Preschool Gymnastics and Mini Movers (Ages 3–5) – Skokie & Morton Grove
Dance Gymnastics (Ages 4–6) – A playful introduction to rhythmic and aesthetic gymnastics through music, dance, flexibility, coordination, and creative movement.

Gymnastics for Ages 5–7
As children grow, they are ready for new challenges. Our gymnastics programs for ages 5–7 build on the fundamental movement skills learned in our preschool classes while introducing more structured gymnastics training in a fun, positive, and age-appropriate way.
Gymnasts continue developing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and body control while learning more advanced skills such as cartwheel progressions, handstands, bridges, jumps, turns, and introductory acrobatic combinations. Classes also emphasize confidence, focus, teamwork, and safe technique, always following children's developmental stage and Nordic coaching principles.
Families can choose between two pathways:
Junior Jumpers / Gymnastics Foundations – A recreational gymnastics program that develops foundational gymnastics skills, strength, flexibility, and coordination through engaging circuits, games, and skill progressions.
Dance Gymnastics – A unique program combining gymnastics, dance, rhythm, flexibility, and creative movement, introducing children to the fundamentals of rhythmic and aesthetic group gymnastics.
These classes provide a strong foundation for future gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, and many other sports while keeping movement enjoyable and motivating.
Available in: Skokie, Morton Grove & Lincolnwood.

Cheer Programs for Kids (Ages 5–12)
Our recreational cheerleading program introduces children to the exciting world of cheer in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate environment. Athletes develop coordination, strength, flexibility, confidence, and teamwork while learning the fundamentals of cheerleading, including motions, jumps, tumbling, stunts, dance, and performance skills.
Classes follow a progressive pathway, allowing children to build skills at their own pace while emphasizing safe technique, positive coaching, and the joy of movement.
Available programs:
Intro to Cheer – The perfect first step into cheerleading, focusing on basic motions, jumps, tumbling, and teamwork.
Cheer Fundamentals – Builds strong cheer foundations with more advanced jumps, tumbling, beginner stunts, and short routines.
Cheer & Acro – Combines cheerleading skills with acrobatics, flexibility, body control, and performance to prepare athletes for more advanced cheer opportunities.

Competitive Teams – USA Gymnastics Xcel Rhythmic
Taiga's Competitive Team Program is designed for children who are ready to take the next step in rhythmic and aesthetic group gymnastics. Athletes compete in the USA Gymnastics Xcel Rhythmic Program as individuals and as part of a team, building strong technical skills while developing confidence, artistry, teamwork, and performance experience. The Xcel Rhythmic program is designed to provide a positive, flexible, and developmentally appropriate competitive pathway for young athletes.
Our teams train in rhythmic gymnastics, aesthetic group gymnastics, dance technique, flexibility, body control, apparatus handling, and choreography. Training groups are formed based on each athlete's age, skill level, and readiness to compete, allowing every gymnast to progress at an appropriate pace.
Our primary competition training location is Wilmette. Beginning with the 2026–2027 season, athletes training in Glencoe and Skokie will also have the opportunity to join our competitive teams and participate in USA Gymnastics competitions.
