Taiga Teams 2026-2027
Team Taiga Adelis, ages 5-7 | $95 per month
The team trains together in a positive and supportive atmosphere. The goal of training is to teach young gymnasts how to work as a team while learning a 2–2.5-minute floor routine featuring balances, jumps, and body movement sequences such as waves and swings.
Gymnasts develop a variety of skills throughout the season, including endurance, flexibility, coordination, and acrobatic skills. Training is age-appropriate and follows a Nordic, Finnish-inspired coaching approach, with an emphasis on positive experiences, teamwork, and the individual development of each child.
The team practices once a week on Saturdays for 75 minutes in Wilmette.
Team Taiga Aeris, ages 7-9 | $95 per month
The team trains with purpose toward a shared goal. Competitions are an opportunity for gymnasts to challenge themselves, gain confidence, and shine through the skills they have developed.
Our training is child-centered and positive, with a strong focus on both gymnastics and enjoyment. While the team is made up of talented young gymnasts and practices focus on developing gymnastics skills, we never forget the joy that play brings. Games are an important part of our warm-ups and conditioning activities, helping children stay engaged, active, and excited to learn.
The competition season takes place primarily during the winter and spring.
The team practices once a week on Saturdays for 90 minutes in Wilmette.
Skills, Flexibility & Rhythmic Gymnastics
The Monday additional training session is tailored to each gymnast’s individual needs. Depending on the child, the focus may be on overall flexibility and technique development or on individual rhythmic gymnastics training.
Every gymnast joining the team will also have the opportunity to participate in individual rhythmic gymnastics routines in USAG Xcel competitions.
Gymnasts will begin with individual routines of approximately one minute in length. During the 2026–2027 season, athletes may choose to compete with ball, rope, or hoop.
Monday training is an additional weekly practice, and the monthly tuition includes both Saturday team training and Monday additional training. For gymnasts who choose to train twice a week, the monthly tuition is $170.
