Fresh Look, New Season
Spring Update from Taiga!
Winter flew by, spring is already well underway, and our eyes are now set on summer and everything ahead.
The past year has brought wonderful growth to Taiga, including a handful of new coaches we are truly excited about. It’s inspiring to see how many talented young instructors we have in our community—individuals who genuinely enjoy working with children and naturally connect with them. They bring energy, care, and their own passion for movement to the children who are just beginning their journey.
Summer
This summer, we’ll be active in Skokie with both evening classes and morning camps. Have you secured your spot yet? We have an exciting lineup of camps ahead, and some weeks are already sold out. Registration is handled through the Skokie Park District—simply search for “Taiga” to find all available programs.
Toward the end of summer, we’ll also be hosting a one-week camp in Glencoe—a wonderful way to wrap up the summer before the school year begins. Registration is available through the Glencoe Park District.
Taiga continues to grow and evolve, and we are proud of the direction we’re heading. This fall, we’re expanding not only geographically but also in response to community interest—by introducing cheer programs to our offerings.
This is an exciting step for us. In many ways, it represents a meeting point between our Nordic roots and the energetic spirit of American movement culture. We love getting children moving, we love the energy, and cheer is a natural and exciting addition to the Taiga program.
We are also expanding our after-school programming this fall and are already looking for new coaches to join our team. A positive, child-centered mindset, strong energy, and a background in movement or sports are qualities we value highly. If this sounds like you—or someone you know—we would love to hear from you.
You may have also noticed that Taiga is going through a visual refresh, including a new logo. We’re so happy to start sharing this updated look with you.
Wishing you a wonderful rest of spring—we hope to see you in class soon! This season, we are active in Glencoe, Skokie, and Wilmette. Lincolnwood is taking a short break for spring, but we’ll be back there in the summer at community events like the Lincolnwood Family Fest, bringing movement outdoors for everyone to enjoy.
You can also find us around the community—at events like the Glencoe Kids Carnival and occasionally at the Skokie Farmers Market.
